I like the idea and look you're going for. But I think the flow of the dress' bottom doesn't work with the cut of the shirt. Something more structured like shorts would bring it together nicely. I'd switch the belt with a dressier gold piece and change the casual bag with something less bulky (I really like the sling look though!)

I like the look excluding the bag. I would maybe make the belt a tad bit bigger because it's faux muffin topping ya. One hole over and it will make the shirt lay a bit better.
