purpose & description

I have a summer wedding coming up! What do you think of this outfit? It will be a daytime ceremony and a nice (but not black tie) reception. The dress is Jessica McClintock, the pearls are Tiffany and the bag is Coach.

That's a great dress. It's not your wedding. Wear whatever you want except that Coach clutch. Nice pearls.

Ok cute outfit but not appropriate for a wedding. The colour and style is all wrong. It looks promy to me. And noone should be wearing white but the bride. Also, for a summer wedding i would try a higher hemline, just below the knee. Take a look at some of this seasons great black and white outfits that havea hint of read, or some great babydoll dresses cinched with belts. There are tons of options for a wedding, but i wouldn't suggest this...

The dress is really nice, but as a general rule, I don't think anyone but the bride should be wearing white/off white. If you wear this, it kinda might take away from her gown. I don't like the flower at all, it looks too foofy, but the pearls and bag are great. How about something with less (and different) fabric. J.Crew has some really great summer dresses in their wedding section and they cos just the same amount as Jessica Mclintock.

I agree with lucky5drama, it reminds me of a prom dress. There are so many options for a summer wedding. I would definitely go with a short dress which is very in right now. I was just in Bebe today and they had a ton of adorable dresses.

definitely not for a wedding!! don't like the flower, but other than that its cute!!

Definitely to prom-gown for a wedding. Go with a shorter cocktail dress that doesn't make you look like you might be the bride!

Hey viewers! Amanda here; just wanted to let you know that the dress is a bright yellow. (Think frenchy from Grease) Also, the reception is NOT black tie. Sorry if my note above was confusing. Not my wedding - but thanks for the warm wishes!

Unless you are the one getting married, I'm not sure this is an appropriate dress. As I've heard, you're not supposed to wear white to a wedding (something about stealing the bride's thunder) and although this dress could be mint-green and it's just the lighting in the photo making it weird, it's still too close for comfort. For a daytime ceremony that's nice, but not black tie, I suggest a nice printed dress that hits at the knee. If this IS your wedding dress, then ignore all I've said and congratulations.
