purpose & description

I am going out for drinks after work, so I’m trying to find a balance between “office-appropriate” and “cute girl at the bar”. I plan to carry a large brown tote and brown heels. What do you think?

This is not an outfit for any occasion for you. Style is about wearing clothes that fit you well and are colors that compliment you, this outfit does neither. For drinks after work, I'd try a casual preppy look, think J. Crew summer dress (solid color linen or cotton dress) with a cardigan and wedges.

Unless you are going for drinks in Amish country, don't wear that. You'll be the "abused girl at the bar". You can wear a cool dress from Urban Outfitters or the Gap that you can take from day to night. Save those shoes for early October with a pair of jeans and a blazer and camisole from Old Navy or Express. That goes for the bag too. Marc Jacobs has a great selection of bags. If I were you, I would check it out.

This outfit looks too bag lady. It's nice to mix it up but I think you were going for too much and it made the outfit too busy. The color combination is too weak for me. I don't think those colors compliment each other at all. I see white peeking through the blue. I would of took the blue off and just done a white top. I would of probably went with a better fitted skirt as well. I think your shoes are cute. The style of the bag is okay.

Ms. Thing, please, never wear this out!! that top would look cute with some blue jeans and black pumps. skirts not cute. I'm not really digging the jacket. bags not too bad. shoe's are kinda old lady-like.

When I look at this outfit, I dont think "cute girl" I think "old woman" Im sorry but the colour of the skirt isnt very nice, the crop jacket looks out of place on the outfit because of the length of the skirt. the colours look unnatural together. youd be better to wear jeans, the heels and bag you have chosen and a cute top.

It looks lovely on you and I think you've pretty much found the right balance.

The lines of that outfit aren't flattering at all. Your shape is totally undefined, and the cropped jacked looks odd with that skirt. Pairing the top half of the outfit with some skinny jeans and adding a long necklace would help give you a more flattering shape.

Can you wear jeans or a pair of slacks that are more of a dark brown? I think thw two tans in the jacket and skirt contrast, and your jacket needs a good ironing. If you put jeans on instead of the skirt, it would all work out OK. I really like the bag!
