I agree with upsilamba that the sweater is a bit heavy, depending on what area of the country you're in. For fall, the sweater and a green shirt would look really cute. The jeans look really good on you and I like all the pieces.

However, you can also keep the sweater if you replaced the tanktop you have on now with something brighter. Maybe a bright pink or a light lime green... no blue though, that will look too arctic, and red will look a little too Christmas. Orange or yellow would also work well... The secret to pulling this outfit off in the summer though lies in your hair. You want to keep it soft and touchable. Think beachy waves or slightly messy with a windblown look to look a bit more tropical.
