Hello, my favorite Upper East Siders—Gossip Girl’s back. Oh heck, who am I kidding? You can always visit the official Gossip Girl blog for your latest updates on the television series, but luckily doesthislookstupid.com can fulfill your style needs on a regular basis.

That said, with the popularity of the teen drama comes the popularity of the headband—yes, Blair Waldorf just might be the most influential trendsetter of 2008, beating out Sienna Miller and the Olsen twins for the spot.

I started wearing headbands a couple months before the show came out only because they were the only items that my mommy could buy for me that I’d actually wear. Lo and behold, a few months later, the craze over headbands exploded into the market and I was able to build a formidable and eclectic collection that I plan to continue to develop:

That said, I’m constantly asked where one can buy headbands similar those of dear Blair’s — from the large bows to the bright patterns to the sparkling jewels, wearing a headband is a very easy way to keep back flyaway hair and to dress up an outfit.
